Program Assistant

[Ages 13+]

In this volunteer role you will assist Silverheights staff with setting up and running activities at weekly programs and events throughout the year. Volunteers engage with participants, learn their names, encourage them to play and complete activities and help them to feel included at the Centre.

Volunteers are asked to arrive 30 to 15 minutes before programs and events start and leave 15 minutes after

The first meeting of the Catholic Schools Advisory Council (Parent Advisory Council) for the 2023-24 school year will be held at Resurrection C.S.S on Monday October 2nd at 6:45pm.

THEMUSEUM is looking for hockey enthusiasts to volunteer for their upcoming offsite experience Hockey | The Exhibition – Faster Than Ever! Hockey is so much more than a game! It’s where science and tech team up to turn innovation, speed, and excitement into a veritable art form.

As a volunteer, you will get involved in all aspects of their upcoming hockey exhibition. These tasks could include exhibition security, directing traffic, interpreting artifacts, and promoting THEMUSEUM’s Vision

First Day of School

First Day of School Tuesday September 5th, 2023

Hi Phoenix, a reminder that your first day of school is tomorrow.  You will need to be in full uniform, no civvies.  

The first day of school will be a full, 8:10 to 2:10 school day with a normal bell schedule.

Short orientation sessions will take place for all Grade 9 students during a portion of their period 1 and 5 classes on Tuesday September 5th.  Phoenix Friends and staff will also be present to welcome students in the morning at lunch and will help guide them between classes.

Student Success will run supports (locker help, school tours etc.) for all new students throughout the week.
Certain Varsity Team Sports start right away so please check announcements daily

Youth Volunteer Opportunities – June 22, 2023

Activity Volunteer

[Ages 14+]

On Thursday, August 10, 2023, Camino will be facilitating a Newcomer Family Fun Day event at Victoria Park.

As an Activity Volunteer, you will lead an activity at one of the stations, such as arts, board games, crafts and/or sports. You will also get an opportunity to Interact with community members, participants, other volunteers, and staff.

*Lunch will be provided!
