For students who enjoy the challenges of Mathematics and are potentially seeking post-secondary studies in a math field, we offer Prep for AP-Calculus. The following AP-Prep pathway is recommended for students pursuing AP-Calculus.

NOTE: Students are able to join the AP-Prep Pathway at any grade.

Grade 9 : MTH1W (Regular De-Streamed)

Grade 10: MPM2D (Academic)

Grade 11:

Sem 1 – MCR3U-P

Sem 2 – MHF4U-P

Grade 12:

Sem 1 – MCV4U-P

Sem 2AP – Calculus

NOTE: MCV4UI is a prerequisite for IDC4UP. MCV4UP is preferred, but not necessary – students can enter the AP pathway at any point.

In the IDC4UP course, students will continue in their study of calculus and learn concepts of integrals and differential equations usually covered in 1st year university. Students will be prepared to write the AP Exam, which may give university credit depending on the institution and program. Many students find this course very beneficial in preparing them for university studies in math, computer science, engineering and sciences.
