The Reading Buddy program provides students in Grades 1 to 4 an opportunity to practice their reading in a fun and supportive learning environment.

As a Reading Buddy, you will encourage reluctant readers to read aloud, offer reading strategies when needed, and play literacy-based games. Reading Buddies want to share their love of reading with children and are able to provide children with a fun, safe learning space.

Win, lose or draw, you always have fun when you know the game matters. Come play cards and games with an individual (or small group) with an intellectual disability.

The ideal candidate gets along easily with others, is sensitive to their needs, and is open to learning new perspectives. No experience necessary!

There are more than 30 outdoor rinks for everyone to enjoy each winter and without the over 200 dedicated volunteers that maintain and care for them, one of our favourite winter pastimes would not occur.

Maintaining these rinks requires many hands to flood, clear snow, and maintain a safe place for their neighbourhood to skate.
